Here are band pictures and some brief biographical sketches of our members.  If you got here, you must be very thorough!  (You will have to be patient to view all the pictures - they're big!)

Linda Payton

linda_web.gif (70090 bytes) My testimony may seem tame in comparison with those who were saved from a life of debauchery, but I have come to cherish it. I was saved at age three, and by this time, both of my brothers and parents were also Christians. This spiritual upbringing allowed me to form a very solid world view based on scriptural truths that helped me weather several storms in my life. I attended Christian schools all my life including a four-year Bible college. Although I later earned a Master's Degree at CMSU which proved more "practical" to my field of education, my Bible college training gave me a firm theological base from which I write my songs’ lyrics. Now, I am a single mom of a 6-year-old girl, and God is still faithful.

Through lipFROG, I am experiencing how God is using the culmination of my gifts, talents, desires, and even failures to form a ministry specifically suited for me. lipFROG's intent is two-fold: to reach out beyond the church to share God's love, grace, and power in our lives, and to show how fun it can be to serve Him.

Doug Dzur

doug_web.gif (72062 bytes) Although my upbringing was empty spiritually, I always felt God’s tug at my heart, and when the gospel was explained to me in the Army I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Since then He has brought me to see how much I need Him and how much growing I have yet to do.

My wife and I have been married 20 years and the Lord has given us six children to train for Him. Vocationally I graduated from Bible college and a local university. Musically I've been in praise and worship bands for about five years. I am in lipFROG because I believe God has given Linda a unique ability to describe and glorify His character in her lyrics, and I want others to be blessed by these songs.

Stephan Dzur

steven_web.gif (63808 bytes) In 1997 I and my church's youth group went to Acquire the Fire in Kemper Arena. I was 12 years old. It was a 3-day event in which I had a great time. I think it was the third and final night of the revival that I prayed with a couple of my friends to accept Christ into my heart. I had been "saved" when I was five, eight and ten years old, but this time it was genuine. I am proud to call Jesus my Savior and friend.

When I was eight years old my mom signed me up for my first piano lesson. I liked it for about the first two weeks. After that I couldn't stand it.

When I turned 14, my parents said I could quit piano just as long as I played another instrument. Drums sounded fun at the time, so I started lessons with John Whitaker, the drummer for The Sound and the Fury. I have been playing for almost three years now. I started playing in lipFROG because the former drummer had to quit. I really like the music, and I have a lot of fun although I don't smile while playing!

Erwin Wardojo

erwin_web.gif (74111 bytes) I am Erwin - the reason I'm here is because the band lets me fool around with the bass. But THE reason I'm here, in Kansas City, is a long story, which I care not to elaborate here because you'll be reading a novel, instead of a band member's bio.

It is sufficient to say that I started my life as a Christian on February, 1993 at FBC Hewitt youth mission trip in Creede, CO. But the real growth really didn't begin until the time I joined the BSU in Rolla for the duration of my collegiate career. The true test of my commitment to Christ was initiated through the Summer Mission Program '95 - '97 where I was assigned to Kansas City's Inner City. From this encounter, I felt that Kansas City was home for the future - so I returned here shortly after graduation.

The calling I have at this time is to help out start-up churches. First, Turning Point Community Church, then with Clear Point Community Church, and my latest effort is to help start a praise team with Heartland Community Church's FUSION group (post-college singles). During my time at TPCC I met the Dzurs - and the rest was history.

Joel Peycke

joel_web.gif (58790 bytes) My name is Joel Peycke and I am seventeen years old. I was (and am  still being!) raised in a Christian home. When I was five or six years old I accepted Jesus Christ to be my personal Savior. Although I didn't fully understand everything about my Lord at that time (and I’m still far from it today) I knew that I was a sinner and that I needed salvation. During the years that followed I have experienced many "things" in my life that have helped me in my Christian walk. I have been on several missions trips (six I believe) to various parts of the USA and different countries including Mexico and Brazil.

As for music I started taking piano lessons at age six or seven (too early!) which I am very thankful for. I started playing guitar at age thirteen and never looked back. I play both acoustic and electric guitar and I also fiddle with the bass and all other stringed instruments. I enjoy playing and am glad I can add my talent to the lipFROG line up.
